Yo-Yo Ma brings together musicians and composers from China to the Middle East performing music from Mongolia to Finland in an ambitious blending of cultures from the ancient route known as the Silk Road. In addition to the cello, Ma tackles the fiddle and the morin khuur, and is joined by long-time collaborator Edgar Meyer (bass) along with Wu Man and Yang Wei (pipa and Chinese lutes), Siamak Aghaei (santur), Winston Tong (wind pipes) and Kayhan Kalhor (setar).
