John McLaughlin adds the London Symphony Orchestra to his new Mahavishnu Orchestra. With the Beatles' production team of George Martin and engineer Geoff Emerick, this 1974 recording marks an important moment when rock, jazz and classical were successfully fused into a creation of McLaughlin's particular vision. Conducted by composer Michael Tilson Thomas, the album features another world-class Mahavishnu lineup featuring Jean Luc Ponty, Michael Narada Walden, Gayle Moran and Ralph Armstrong.
